Numerous streets of Yerevan have been closed off since early Monday morning—and at the call of Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, leader of the Tavush for the Homeland movement and Primate of the Diocese of Tavush of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

At the rally held Sunday, Archbishop Galstanyan had called for "total boycotting of classes, holding labor strikes, and paralyzing Yerevan and various areas of Armenia, from 8am Monday, in “expressing disagreement with the lies and evil."

Also, he noted that he will visit several creative unions Monday morning.

Furthermore, Archbishop Galstanyan called on those who want to support them to come, register, and be recruited for volunteer work.

"Many people have joined us these days. I am sure that when our plans become concrete in relation to the no-confidence process [towards PM Nikol Pashinyan], the prime minister candidate, we will be several hundred thousand here," he said.

On May 4, the Tavush for the Homeland movement had started a march, led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, from Kirants border village of Tavush Province to Yerevan, and this march reached the Armenian capital on May 9. Those who have joined this movement are against the incumbent Armenian authorities’ policy of unilateral concessions to Azerbaijan.
