The State Duma has approved Mikhail Mishustin as the Prime Minister of Russia.

A total of 375 MPs voted for his candidacy, RIA Novosti reported.

Russian President Vladimir Putin had nominated Mishustin for the office of Prime Minister.

The Cabinet of Ministers, led by Mishustin, had resigned shortly after Putin's inauguration.
