I am in Tehran. Many—almost all—with whom I discuss the situation now are either sure or do not rule out that what happened is the handiwork of Israel acting through Baku. Famous Iranian journalist Abbas Djuma wrote about this on Telegram, commenting on the crash of the helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and some other high-ranking officials.

"In order to avoid hysteria and a mass attack of pan-Turkic fifth points in the comments, I stress that this is not an accusation, there is no evidence. It's just a clear demonstration of the prevailing sentiments in the capital of the Islamic Republic. Here, many people almost equate Israel and Azerbaijan," Djuma added.
