YEREVAN. – ‘Close Market’ will be fully reconstructed, Deputy Minister of Culture Arev Samuelyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am adding the ruined arches will have the same appearance as before.

She is sure of one thing that the final result will not differ from the appearance market used to have.

“The building will be reconstructed but will have the same appearance,” she assured.

As the agency reported earlier, historic market in the center of Yerevan was purchased by MP Samvel Aleksanyan. According to rumors, it will be turned into a supermarket.

The market was created by architect Grigor Aghababyan and engineer Hamazasp Arakelyan. The market was recognized one of the best architectural constructions in Armenia.
