YEREVAN. – The most popular names for the newborns in Armenia are Nare, for girls, and Davit, for boys, in the first five months of 2012.   

The top ten most common names for girls in Armenia also include Milena, Maria, Mane, Ani, Ellen, Anahit, Mariam, Anna, and Mary, the National Statistical Service informs

And the most popular names for boys include Narek, Gor, Hayk, Alex, Eric, Arman, Samvel, Tigran, and Aram.

To note, a total of 15,843 babies were born in Armenia, within the aforesaid time period, and 8,479 of them were boys and 7,364 were girls.
