YEREVAN. – A lieutenant colonel was killed in ceasefire violation by Azerbaijani side in the southern direction of the line of contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijan on Monday, a source in defense ministry told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The lieutenant colonel was a native of Nagorno-Karabakh, other details are not provided.

As reported earlier,  Ashot Grigoryan (born in 1994) was wounded in his arm by Azerbaijani sniper while performing a combat duty at the military positions in the southern direction of the line of contact. An investigation is underway, NKR Defense Army reported.
