YEREVAN. – The Armenian parliament approved a draft bill on the defense industry with 104 votes “for”, with two votes “against” and 6 abstentions.

The law establishes the principles of defense orders and placement, as well as its accountability to the defense agencies. The law sets the order of subsidizing defense companies, as well as their support for the implementation of innovations.

According to the bill, the President approves military-industrial and military-technical policy, while special council head by the prime minister coordinates the policy.
