The Russian government approved the agreement with Armenia on the conditions of functioning of the Russian-Armenian University in Yerevan.

Signing of the agreement will contribute to the deepening of relations between the two countries in the humanitarian field, further development of export of Russian educational services, and will strengthen the position of the Russian language in Armenia, RIA Novosti reported.

The University operates based on the Russian educational standards, training is conducted in Russian. At the same time an in-depth study of the Armenian language continues during the first three years. In addition, all undergraduates have opportunity to get professional education in Armenia. The students get diplomas approved by Armenia and Russia.
