An Armenian delegation, led by the chief of the Armenian Armed Forces General Staff, Colonel General Yuri Khachaturov, on Wednesday attended, at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels, the meetings of the NATO Military Committee of the partner countries.

During the sessions, discussions were held with respect to the security situation in Afghanistan and Kosovo, actions of the NATO coalition troops, and the prospects for establishing a lasting stability.

On the same day, Khachaturov met with the Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe, British Land Forces General, Sir Adrian Bradshaw.

The objective of this talk was to exchange views on Armenia’s involvement in regional security and international peacekeeping missions. The Armenia army chief presented the ongoing military developments around the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the recent incidents on the frontline, and the prospects for Armenian peacekeepers’ participation in international missions.

General Bradshaw, for his part, expressed gratitude for the Armenian armed forces’ continued engagement in the coalition missions in Afghanistan and Kosovo.
