Turkish Parliament MP, Kurd Mehmet Ali Aslan commented on the statements regarding his Armenia roots.  

According to the Turkish TV Channel SkyTv, Mehmet Ali Aslan from the Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) stated that he was called grandson of Armenian when during an MP oath he uttered “peoples of Turkey” instead of “the Turkish people.” He also stresses, that with these words they tried to humiliate Armenians and him.

“I don’t have any connection with Armenians. If I had, I would be proud of it,” Mehmet Ali Aslan said.
