YEREVAN. – The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan, visited, in the early morning hours on Wednesday, the military units that are stationed in the southwestern border of the country.

First and foremost, Ohanyan paid a visit to the frontline, and inspected several military positions.

Subsequently, the minister—together with the senior commanders accompanying him—discussed military service and organizational issues, listened to the reports of these commanders, and gave them relevant instructions.

Artsrun Hovhannisyan, the press secretary of the Minister of Defense, wrote the aforementioned on his Facebook account.

As reported earlier, the Azerbaijan armed forces on Tuesday continued intensively violating the ceasefire along the entire length of the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces.

Accordingly, the adversary violated the ceasefire around 160 times in one day, reported the press service of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Ministry of Defense.

During this time, more than 1,600 shots were fired in the direction of Armenian military positions, and by way of rifle and artillery weaponry—including grenade launchers and mine throwers—, and over 140 shots were fired with machine guns.

The NKR Defense Army vanguard units took retaliatory actions, and as a result, the adversary’s attacks were quelled.
