The second Armenian-British politico-military consultations were conducted Thursday in London.

A Ministry of Defense (MOD) delegation, led by First Deputy Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan, participated in the talks on behalf of Armenia.

The discussants summed up the results of the bilateral defense cooperation in 2015, and conferred on the prospects for the Armenian-British defense collaboration between 2016 and 2017.

As a result, Tonoyan and the head of the British delegation, UK Director of International Security Policy, Nick Gurr, signed the 2016-2017 cooperation plan between the Armenian and British MODs.

The aforesaid consultations were reviewed during the talk with the UK Minister of State for Reserves also responsible for International Defence Cooperation, Julian Brazier.

On the same day, the Armenian MOD delegation met also with the Head of Eastern Europe & Central Asia Directorate at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Michael Tatham. The interlocutors discussed bilateral defense cooperation, regional and international security, and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
