STEPANAKERT. - Military Council session was held today in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR, Artsakh).  Commander of the NKR Defense Army, Lieutenant-General Levon Mnatsakanyan presided over the session during which the work carried out in 2015 was summed up.

Karabakh President Bako Sahakyan, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the NKR Armed Forces, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, Chief of the Armenian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant-General Yuri Khachaturov and heads of power structures attended the session.

The key speaker was the first Deputy Chief of Staff of the NKR Defense Army, major-general Kamo Vardanyan.

By the end of the session, distinguished servicemen were awarded with certificates, valuable presents and monetary prizes.

Summing up the results of the session, the Commander of the Defense Army drew the participants’ attention to the important tasks of 2016.
