YEREVAN. – The situation in Karabakh requires speediest political solution to the crisis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in Baku.

“The current situation requires all of us to look back at the past agreements and to develop confidence-building measures on the line of contact. They were discussed by the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group,” Lavrov told reporters after his meeting with Azerbaijani and Iranian Foreign Ministers.

According to the Russian minister, “confidence-building in the area of conflict does not mean that we should relax when it comes to the need to find a political comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.”
