The recent personnel purge most likely has a different implication than the officially stated reasons and what can be seen, Artyusha Shahbazyan, Press Secretary of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) parliamentary faction, told a press briefing in Parliament.
Without going into details concerning the “implication,” he pointed out that Armenian society, in breathless suspense, has been watching the reshuffles, hoping for positive changes and end to the atmosphere of impunity. “All this is evidence our people’s cup has been filled up,” Shahbazyan said. The jungle law is in effect in Armenia, and disputes are, as a rule, “settled by club law.”
