On December 11, Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan received Korean Ambassador to Armenia Lee Yun-ho. Head of NA staff Gegham Gharibjanyan, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Manasaryan, Korean Honorary Consul to Armenia and MP Armen Abrahamyan were also present at the meeting.

The Korean Ambassador stated he would do his utmost to contribute to expansion and strengthening of relations between two states, RA parliamentary press service informed NEWS.am.

Hovik Abrahamyan highly appreciated assistance of the Korean side to technical re-equipment of the national assembly hall.

The Armenian official also expressed readiness to assist strengthening of bilateral ties and implementation of investment programs, stressing importance of Korea’s investments in Armenia. Hovik Abrahamyan once again invited his Korean counterpart to visit Armenia.

The sides touched upon recent incident between the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. The Armenian Speaker noted that use of force is unacceptable and relations should be normalized through peaceful negotiations.
