Iranian scientists have produced a new radioactive drug to treat prostate and lung cancer.

Ga-bombesin 68 was developed in the center of medical, industrial, and agricultural research in Karaj, which operates under the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, ISNA reports.

Three new radioactive drugs will be available to public soon, said the head of the Institute for Nuclear Research of Iran, Mohammad Gannadi.

”We have made significant progress in the development of radioactive drugs, and a significant number of drugs have already been produced”, he said.
