YEREVAN. – Armenian News-NEWS.am tried to get some information on conference of Armenian masons. However, organizations having connection with Masonic movement rejected to speak on conference.

The conference will traditionally take place on July 1-11 at Armenia Marriot hotel, however, employees refused to provide any regarding information. Yet, Armenian News-NEWS.am managed to get some information on the agenda of Masonic conference in Armenia. Particularly, reps of France-Armenie Lodge No.2 and U.S. state department will speak on Karabakh issue. Agenda also includes ruling estimation of current authorities.

According to different sources, Armenia has hundred masons, who are recognized by world Masonic organizations. Armenian Masonic organization carries the name of Grand Lodge of Armenia.

Sociologist Aharon Adibekyan’s name was mentioned as a mason. However, he told he had no connection with masons but had mason friends. Adibekyan also told some information on the conference gained by ‘secondary’ sources. Particularly, Armenia becomes the center of the Masonic movement and if those from Georgia or Azerbaijan who want to be enrolled in the organization, have to come to Armenia to be enrolled.

According to media, masons try to get land for the construction of Masonic temple in Yerevan.
