A group of forcibly displaced Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Armenians have handed a letter to the OSCE Chairman-in-Office as well as Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of Malta, Ian Borg, who was in Yerevan.

The letter, which expresses the demands and expectations of the displaced Armenians of Artsakh, was handed at Monday’s news conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. A similar letter was handed also to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan.

The reporter who handed the message emphasized that the people of Artsakh want to return to their homeland.

"Has the OSCE turned a blind eye to the Artsakh issue? If not, how does the OSCE see the return," the reporter asked.

In response, the OSCE Chairman-in-Office noted that this organization is for the people and about them, but the OSCE cannot get involved in a process in which it does not participate, and the OSCE respects the position of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has single-handedly "recognized" Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan. Having kept Artsakh under blockade for nine months, Azerbaijan occupied Nagorno-Karabakh on September 19-20, 2023, considering this issue "resolved."
