Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, leader of the Tavush for the Homeland movement and Primate of the Diocese of Tavush of the Armenian Apostolic Church, together with his supporters, is heading to Garegin Nzhdeh Square in Yerevan—and by subway.

Galstanyan is going to meet with people at the aforesaid square and ask them to join the Tavush for the Homeland movement.

Earlier, Archbishop Galstanyan was at the Union of Journalists. Also, he responded to the questions of reporters. Before that, he was at Yerevan State University, where he was welcomed with Armenian folk dance. The archbishop called on the students to join the aforementioned movement and not to give in to the pressures of university rectors.

Civil disobedience actions have started again in Yerevan since early Tuesday morning. Numerous people are marching in the streets of the Armenian capital, and calling people to join them.

Also, they blocked several intersections for a short time.

There are a large number of police forces in a number of streets in Yerevan.

The special police forces have detained, using brute force, many of the marchers.

On May 4, the Tavush for the Homeland movement, led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, had started a march from Kirants border village of Tavush Province to Yerevan, and this march reached the Armenian capital on May 9. Those who have joined this movement are against the incumbent Armenian authorities’ policy of unilateral concessions to Azerbaijan.
