YEREVAN. – The criminal case against deputy chief of Military Police is under investigation since Mar. 3, Armenia’s Special Investigation Service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The criminal case was instigated against the deputy chief of Military Police Vanik Manukyan on stealing weapons. Manukyan has been under custody since Mar. 6. No one else is arrested or accused. The investigation is underway,” the statement by the Service reads.

At the same time, head of Police Troops of Armenia Garegin Gabrielyan was dismissed due to abusing power. A criminal case is underway. Media outlets claim that Gabrielyan sold weapons and armaments. Within this case ex-Chief of Police Alik Sargsyan’s name is also circulated.
