YEREVAN. - The agreement of creating a joint headquarter for monitoring the parliamentary elections signed by Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), ARF Dashnaktsutyun, Heritage Party and Armenian National Congress (ANC) is nothing more than a fake document and its life can be compared with the life of a moth, board member of the Communist Party of Armenia Ruben Tovmasyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to Tovmasyan he was disappointed from the moment of signing the contract which he saw on television.

“What do those signatures mean? Are those four parties the leaders on politics and should other parties follow them and sign? It comes out that they are the ‘giants of political mind’ and their decision is final and not discussable,” Ruben Tovmasyan said, joking.

 To note, on Wednesday Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia Party, ARF Dashnaktsutyun and Heritage Party signed a joint agreement on creating a single headquarter for monitoring the elections.

The deputy chairman of RPA Galust Sahakyan who was participating in the discussion refused to sign the agreement.

Eight political parties and one block have presented their nominations – Republican Party of Armenian, Prosperous Armenia Party, Orinats Yerkir, opposition Armenian National Congress, opposition Heritage Party, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, the Communist Party of Armenia, Democratic Party of Armenia and United Armenians Party.

For entering the National Assembly, parties must poll over 5% of votes, while blocks - over 7%.

The election campaign will be held till May 5 - the day prior to elections when campaigning is banned. The parliamentary elections will be held from 8 am to 8 pm on May 6, 2012.
