MOSCOW. – No need to expect a serious context in the Russian FM Sergey Lavrov’s words on Russia's intend to intensify efforts for a quick settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, Russian expert Alexander Karavayev told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to him, the FM voiced it during a jubilee tour in the South Caucasus and Central Asian states on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Moscow and those states. Asked on Karabakh peace process, Lavrov could not just say that nothing has been achieved. Hence he had to choose a diplomatic phrase.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am has earlier informed, Russian FM visited Baku on Tuesday, where he had stated that Russia is interested in settling the Karabakh peace process based on the interests of the people living in the region.
