YEREVAN. – Even if only one political force agrees to the proposal to design rules for holding the upcoming National Assembly (NA) elections in a civilized manner, the ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) will be ready for discussions, RPA Executive Board member, NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Chairman, and the aforementioned proposal’s brainchild Davit Harutyunyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In his words, those who had not received the proposal have already received it and they, too, are prepared to take part in the respective discussions.
“I believe the discussions will be useful, and I do not see any grounds for failure,” Harutyunyan noted.
But he had no information on any other political force that unequivocally refused this proposal, other than the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress.
To note, Davit Harutyunyan had offered, on April 5, a proposal to design rules for holding the NA elections in a civilized manner.
