ISTANBUL. – Semir Serkek, the pastor of a Lutheran Church in Istanbul, was attacked by four youth.  

The said young men entered the church, which is located in Istanbul’s Bahcelievler District, and taunted Serkek by asking him why is there a Christian church in a Muslim district. Milliyet daily of Turkey informs. And when the church pastor asked them who had sent them, these youth hit Serkek, threw him to the ground, and quickly left the church.    

Semir Serkek applied to the police.

And the law enforcement is studying the recordings of the video cameras, which are installed in the vicinity of the church, to catch the young assailants.
