YEREVAN. – Parliament opposition Heritage party kicked off election campaign on Monday under the “We are coming” motto (photo).
The party intends to secure free economic competition, development of the industry, IT and agriculture, fair taxation as well as cooperation between small and medium enterprises.
The party promises to make the average salary about $512 (AMD 200,000). Annual local and foreign investments will total $1.5 billion. In coming ten years the party will do everything to increase Armenia’s population up to four million.
Heritage intends also to protect national interests, to struggle for the recognition of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, to protect the rights of the compatriots in Javakhk (in Georgia), to make efforts into normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations within the framework of international law and based on recognition of the Armenian Genocide and compensation.
Armenia will develop relations equally with Russia, the U.S., China, having a key goal integration into European structures with the prospects of becoming a full member of the EU.
Opposition Heritage Party is a liberal party founded in 2002. The leader is the first Armenian Foreign Minister Raffi Hovannisian.
Heritage and Free Democrats Party are running for the parliament with joint proportional list.
The proportional list of the party includes members of extra-parliamentary opposition Free Democrats Party and civil society representatives.
Heritage has also nominated MP candidates with the majority election system.
