During an event organized in order to direct the attention of the international community to the Melimie Mosque (Edirne, Turkey), which is included in the list of UNESCO Cultural Heritage, the governor of Edirne Gokhan Sozer committed a shameful act against a Bulgarian priest who was present at the event.

As the Turkish Hurriyet informs, while forming a human chain the Bulgarian Priest also wanted to participate but the governor did not allow.

After the event the priest did not make any comments mentioning that they gathered to express support and such things should not be put forward.
