YEREVAN. – Armenian Open Game Development Contest 2012 kicked off on Wednesday in Yerevan, the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) informs. The competition, organized by the UITE and Orange Armenia, aims to grant opportunities for creating new business environment, to find new talents and to motivate the youth.

According to the UITE Executive Director Karen Vardanyan, the computer games’ sphere is not deeply studied and exploited in Armenia.

Orange Armenia Director General Bruno Duthoit said that the focus is on mobile applications as it develops dynamically all over the globe.

Armenian Open Game Development Contest will be held in four rounds and will have 9 nominations.
