KAPAN. – Armenia’s President, head of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Serzh Sargsyan visited the Syunik Region within the election campaign on Monday. The RPA head visited copper-molybdenum combine in Agarak, new block of the combine in Zangezur and construction site of medical center in Meghri.

Sargsyan claimed that the party is well aware of the challenges the regions are faced with and will make efforts to settle them. The President also said that the authorities had launched a war against corruption and monopoly abuse. He asked the Syunik voters to give their votes for the RPA.

The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is a ruling conservative party in Armenia.

Since 2003, the Republican Party is a core member of the ruling coalition along with the Prosperous Armenia and Orinats Yerkir parties. RPA has majority of seats in the Armenian parliament since 2003.

The Republican Party of Armenia will run in the parliamentary elections under its new slogan: “Let us believe to change!” The Party’s proportional list includes 253 names.

RPA has also nominated MP candidates with the majority election system in 33 electoral districts.
