YEREVAN. – Armenia’s PM Tigran Sargsyan received the Belarusian FM Sergei Martynov. 

“High level relations are formed between Armenia and Belarus. At the same time, there is a huge potential for developing bilateral ties in economy. We are obligated to launch the necessary steps to strengthen the economic correlations,” the PM noted in welcoming the guest.     

The interlocutors underscored the activities of the Armenian-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission, and discussed the bilateral economic cooperation.  

Also, they examined the matter of importing Belarusian-made buses and elevators to Armenia’s capital Yerevan. 

In addition, PM Sargsyan and FM Martynov deemed cooperation in diamond production, nuclear energy, and tourism to be full of prospect.

At the end of the meeting, Armenia’s Economy Ministry and Belarus’ Finance Ministry signed a memorandum of cooperation in the jewelry industry.
