YEREVAN. – The US dollar’s exchange rate continues to rapidly increase in Armenia’s financial market. 

The dollar’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 393.75/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Wednesday. This is the first time this year when the dollar’s exchange rate passed the AMD 393/$1 threshold.  

The trading session started with AMD 394/$1, but the dollar lost some ground at the end of the trading day.  

The total sales were $2.3 million.

Armenia’s exchange offices raised the dollar’s purchase rate to up to AMD 392.5/$1, and it is sold at a minimum of AMD 394.5/$1.     

A transaction of shares was likewise conducted at the stock exchange on Wednesday.
