Armenia makes progress in World Competitiveness Rating but is still behind neigh

In the 2011-2012 competitiveness report of the World Economic Forum Armenia ranked 92 among 142 countries.

Despite the progress, compared to neighbors and other CIS countries Armenia is on the rather lower ranks. From the post-Soviet countries Azerbaijan has the highest ranking (55), followed by Russia (66). Georgia is also ahead of Armenia (88). Armenia is ahead of Moldova (93), Tajikistan (105) and Kyrgyzstan (126).
