European Court of Human Rights’ decision on the Katyn massacres in 1940 against Russia worried the Turks.

The Court’s decision claims that the Katyn events are considered to be military crimes hence the crime has no statute of limitation, Turkish Milliyet reports.

According to a professor from the Ankara University, the Court’s given decision may serve as a precedent for Dersim, Sivas, Corum and other massacres against Turkey.

The professor stated that if one of the members of the massacred Armenian family in 1915 appeals to the Court, it may satisfy it.
