YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s actions are assessed positively by 60 percent of respondents on the threshold of the parliamentary elections, head of the Russian Public Opinion Research Center Valery Fedorov said at a press conference on Friday.

At the same time residents of Armenia tend to assess the situation in the state negatively (66%). And 55 percent believe that it will even deteriorate.

The most dramatic problem in the state is considered to be unemployment (51%).

As regards the forthcoming elections, 98 percent is aware of the upcoming parliamentary elections, while 72 percent will participate in the voting.

The voters are keen for voting as consider it their duty (37%), as well as fear that someone else may vote for himself/herself (19%).

Ruling coalition member Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leads the rating of active campaigning, Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is the second and Orinats Yerkir the third.
