GYUMRI. – Opposition Heritage party head Raffi Hovannisian at the election campaign meeting in Gyumri city touched upon the accusations that the party allegedly has secret agreement with the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).

“If those who claim it will be delighted with it, I will accept the accusation. I wish everyone the best,” he told the journalists, Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports.

In response to the agency’s question that the party has fewer headquarters in regions, Hovannisian said that it may be conditioned by the authorities influence as well as the atmosphere of fear and unequal distribution of finance. Nevertheless, all those aforesaid are not obstacles.

Opposition Heritage Party is a liberal party founded in 2002. The leader is the first Armenian Foreign Minister Raffi Hovannisian.

Heritage and Free Democrats Party are running for the parliament with joint proportional list. 

The proportional list of the party includes members of extra-parliamentary opposition Free Democrats Party and civil society representatives.

Heritage has also nominated MP candidates with the majority election system.
