YEREVAN.- Leader of opposition Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian gave assessment of the campaign during the Monday meeting with journalists.

He said that his party would not hold any actions on April 24, Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, adding they will gather in Liberty Square to march to Tsitsernakaberd memorial.

Speaking about the joint headquarters which the party had quitted, Hovannisian said in any case they would continue cooperation with all headquarters and would provide necessary information.

Raffi Hovannisian also dismissed reports on his alleged meeting with President Sargsyan. According to him, the rumors came after his interview where he said that in case of free, fair and constitutional elections, Heritage Party will make majority and does not rule out cooperation with parliamentary minority.

“If the conclusion was made after this interview, I have nothing to say,” leader of Heritage added.

Opposition Heritage Party is a liberal party founded in 2002. The leader is the first Armenian Foreign Minister Raffi Hovannisian.

Heritage and Free Democrats Party are running for the parliament with joint proportional list. 

The proportional list of the party includes members of extra-parliamentary opposition Free Democrats Party and civil society representatives.

Heritage has also nominated MP candidates with the majority election system.
