YEREVAN. – I believe in neither the very high nor the very low sociological survey assessments, because most of those who conduct such surveys in Armenia simply represent this or that political preference. Opposition Heritage Party Chairman Raffi Hovannisian stated this during a press conference on Monday, responding as to how he evaluates such opinion polls, according to which Heritage might not surmount the 5-percent threshold in the forthcoming National Assembly elections.       

“When our party triumphed in [the capital] Yerevan and became a leading political force in Armenia five years ago, we were not gathering huge masses to the public rallies at that time either. We prefer personal contact with the voter,” Heritage’s leader said.     

Also, Raffi Hovannisian informed that the Party will hold an assembly-concert-meeting of victory, at Yerevan’s Liberty Square on May 1, with its constituents. 

“On that day, you will become convinced that many will assemble who have not attended the pre-electoral public meetings of other parties,” Hovannisian concluded.
