The biggest declines were recorded by shares of St James's Place (5.9%), Aeroports de Paris (5.2%), and Avanza Bank Holding (4.4%).
The UK's FTSE 100 index fell 0.5%, France's CAC 40 by 0.3%, while Germany's DAX rose 0.1%.
