U.S. President Donald Trump once again called on Iran’s leadership to “beg for mercy” and effectively admit defeat.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, he said Tehran “just needs to say: we surrender.” According to Trump, Iran has already suffered significant military losses.

“Militarily, we have destroyed them. Their economy is in real trouble. It’s a dead economy,” he said.

The American leader also claimed that Iran has repeatedly faced severe consequences in the conflict, reiterating similar statements earlier in March and April.
