The Armenian government is working on a daily basis towards the return of Armenians held in custody in Azerbaijan, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced at a press briefing Thursday.
“When will there be results? When there will be, we will see,” Pashinyan added, noting that making statements about it in advance is not that serious.
“Those who raise the question from this perspective, do they want them [i.e. the Armenian captives in Azerbaijan] to return or not? Or do they want them to return, but later?” the Armenian premier asked.
He added that the Armenian captives in Azerbaijan have always been returned ahead of elections.
“The previous group that returned was also before the elections. In a democratic country, it is always before the elections,” Pashinyan said.
