YEREVAN. - The report of Armenia’s National Competitiveness was not ordered by Armenia’s Ministry of Economy or anyone else, the head of Economy and Values research center Manuk Hergnyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

To remind, the chairman of Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) Karen Vardanyan announced at a press conference on Friday that the report of Armenia’s National Competitiveness is a disgrace as the report does not take the IT sector into account.

According to Hergnyan the report was the mere initiative of the research center. As he stated, the 2009 report was fully on the IT sphere. The research center acknowledges the importance of the IT sector in the economy but each year the research center takes different areas into account.

The 2012 report is dedicated to performance and management practice.
