There are currently about 80,000 US troops deployed in Europe, a spokesperson for the United States European Command (EUCOM) said.
According to him, about 38,000 US troops are permanently and rotationally stationed in Germany.
The EUCOM spokesperson added that the number and structure of this contingent is constantly changing.
In Germany, US troops are deployed in such places as Wiesbaden, Rhineland-Palatinate, Stuttgart, and Bavaria.
