The Israeli military struck more than 40 facilities of the Shiite Hezbollah movement in southern Lebanon over the past day, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) press service said Friday.

According to its statement, the strikes targeted various infrastructure facilities, including command posts of Hezbollah military units.

The IDF will continue to take measures in response to threats against the Israeli civilian population and IDF soldiers, in accordance with the instructions of the Israeli political leadership, the Israeli military added.
