Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a meeting at the government with Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney.
The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of Mark Carney and the delegation to Armenia as part of the 8th summit of the European Political Community. “I would like to thank you for accepting the invitation to participate in the European Political Community summit and for taking the opportunity to visit our country. I think your participation makes this format more effective, as it obviously broadens views and perspectives,”, the head of state noted.
Mark Carney thanked the Prime Minister of Armenia and the government for the invitation to take part in this important event. The Prime Minister of Canada thanked Nikol Pashinyan and the Government of Armenia for the support provided to Canadians in connection with the conflict with Iran. At the same time, he touched upon the monitoring being carried out in the region jointly with the European Union and stated his readiness to assist in the issue of holding elections. The Prime Minister of Canada noted how impressed he was by Prime Minister Pashinyan’s leadership regarding steps to ensure regional stability and create prospects for greater prosperity for the Armenian people.
During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon the bilateral friendly relations between Armenia and Canada and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
