Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez arrived in Yerevan, Armenia from Ankara, Turkey where he spent the night after his plane had made an emergency landing there .

Sanchez arrived late for the 8th European Political Community Summit venue in the Armenian capital on Monday.

According to the civil aviation news portal Hava Sosyal Medya, the technical malfunction of the Spanish premier's plane was eliminated during the night.

Sanchez spent the night at the Sheraton Hotel in Ankara and left in the morning, accompanied by diplomats and government security officers provided by the Turkish side.

The Spanish prime minister's plane had landed in the Turkish capital late on Sunday evening. According to Turkish media, the reason was a technical problem, which, however, was not critical.
