Iran’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Amir-Saeid Iravani, criticized letters from six Arab states in which they state that their support for U.S.-Israeli military operations constitutes aggression under international law rather than self-defense, Mehr reports.

Iravani sent a letter to the UN Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council in which he categorically rejected the statements of the six Arab states and demanded full accountability for their role in military operations against Iran.

“In his letter, Iravani firmly rejected all allegations and reproaches voiced in recent correspondence from Qatar, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, calling them baseless and entirely unsubstantiated.

The Iranian envoy said that the governments of the six countries had deliberately overlooked the root causes of the situation, namely the unprovoked and unlawful military attacks carried out by the United States and the Israeli regime against sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Mehr writes.
