An Israeli military official said that if Iran’s stockpiles containing more than 400 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60% are not removed from the Islamic Republic, the entire recent war will be considered “one big failure,” the Times of Israel reports.

Israeli officials said that this stockpile is enough to produce 11 nuclear bombs.

A senior officer in the Israeli army (IDF) believes that if, as part of negotiations between the United States and Iran, no agreement is reached to eliminate the uranium stockpiles and halt enrichment in the country, then the gains made over 40 days of fighting will prove futile.

“If the nuclear objective is not achieved, then everything we did in Iran will become one big failure. The vicious Iranian regime may strike at the nuclear program,” the official said.

The officer added that “if the uranium is removed from Iran through diplomatic means, we will have done our part.” However, if that does not happen, Israel will need to launch another operation in Iran to achieve the stated goal, according to the IDF.
