Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows: [PM] Nikol Pashinyan met with [Ukrainian President] Volodymyr Zelenskyy within the framework of the EU summit []in Yerevan[. According to the official statement, they “discussed the prospects for the development of Armenia-Ukraine bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the importance of deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, exchanged views on regional and global developments. The need to promote stable and lasting peace was emphasized.”

Zelenskyy said after the meeting: “We discussed the situation in the region and security challenges and threats. We talked about the development of economic partnership. I proposed to resume the work of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and hold its next session this year in Kyiv.”

According to our information, the issue of cooperation in the defense sector was also discussed at the meeting. [Armenian] SC [i.e. Security] Secretary Armen Grigoryan was also present, who said that Armenia is interested in continuing the exchange of experience in the development of unmanned aviation—UAVs, and emphasized that “Ukrainian experience is invaluable for the Armed Forces of Armenia.”

Zelenskyy expressed [his] willingness to continue work in this direction, and presented Ukraine’s capabilities in the field of production of various types of unmanned [aerial] vehicles. They agreed to continue consultations on this topic.

We managed to find out that in the summer of 2025, [Armenia’s] NSS [i.e. National Security Service] special forces units underwent short-term training in Ukraine in the use of UAVs, which is exactly what A. Grigoryan meant.
