A passenger plane caught fire while landing at Kathmandu airport, Nepal News reports.

The plane, which arrived in the Nepalese capital from Istanbul, belongs to Turkish Airlines.

According to reporters, the wheels of the plane caught fire during landing.

There were 277 passengers on board, including four children. They were evacuated safely, although some of them received minor injuries during rescue work.

The fire was contained with the help of fire extinguishers, and all passengers on the plane are safe.

Due to the incident, however, the Kathmandu airport has temporarily suspended international flights.
