Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) chairman Gagik Tsarukyan has announced that he does not want to hold the post of prime minister, although he could nominate his own candidacy as party leader. He said this during a parliamentary election campaign meeting with residents in Hrazdan town.

“Tsarukyan does not want to be prime minister. I gave you my word. I could say that I am the prime minister of my party. I created it, I established it, I am a man of this land and water. But so that there are no useless conversations, I do not have such a goal,” he noted.

According to the PAP leader, his party has four potential candidates for the post of prime minister.

“There are four candidates for prime minister, who have experience, are willing, have connections, and have shown results. If we manage to reach that phase, I will introduce all [of them], and the people will give their assessment,” Tsarukyan said.

Also, he noted that the position of the head of Armenia should be entrusted to an experienced and responsible person.

“An official, who is responsible for the people, has no right to make mistakes. A worked, experienced person is needed so that experiments are not carried out on the people,” the PAP leader stated.
